And... we're off!

3 and a half years after registering this domain, I have finally got something up to show for it. Granted it is just a simple blog and a contact page, but at least its something
I have much more to show for the work undergone over the last 2–3 months working weekends and evenings between client projects, but after reading Matt Mullenweg’s inspiring “1.0 is the loneliest number” I have decided to, as he might say, ship it.
“There is a dark time in WordPress development history, a lost year. Version 2.0 was released on December 31st, 2005, and version 2.1 came out on January 22nd, 2007 … What killed us was “one more thing.” We could have easily done three major releases that year if we had drawn a line in the sand, said “finished,” and shipped the darn thing … For some projects, this literally goes on forever.”
Over the coming days and weeks I will be tweaking the blog, but also getting my actual portfolio online, showcasing my work and really throwing my weight behind the site. I also intend on doing a write-up on the development stages of bringing the portfolio online, from sketches to Photoshop and finally onto the web, detailing the decisions involved along the way. So welcome, and thanks for stopping by. Be sure to get in touch if you have any questions or queries, or leave a comment below.
