A press release states it A press release states it “uses humour to underscore institutional regulation of public behavior and provoke awareness of how this control affects the evaluation of art, self and social status”.
The exhibition uses public objects, such as street signs, bricks and phone boxes, and manipulates them to create disruptions in what the passer by would expect.

The works wasn’t approved by public authorities, and the artists had to treat their installations as covert, often being disguised as uniformed service workers!
I’m in full support of this exhibition, it makes the often monotomous journey through the city centre with its bombardment of the usual symbols and unending concrete landscape just that bit more interesting for the commuter!

More examples of the work shown in the exhibition can be found at JenBekman.com!
