New York City based restaurant, Maloney & Porcelli are running an interesting bit of viral advertising over at http://www.expenseasteak.com/.

“Now you can eat at Maloney & Porcelli as often as you like and never worry about the expense report raising any eyebrows. Simply type in your bill total below and the expense report generator will do the rest.”

Fair enough! Lets give it a go…

Expense a steak bill

After putting in your ‘bill amount’ you can either download the receipt, expense another meal or share the tool on various social networking sites

My receipts generated by the tool.

I ran a second receipt through the tool just to see if there were different styles generated, and voila!

I’m not sure how convincing these generated reports would actually be if the tool was to become more ‘known’, especially by your bosses or the accounts department.

However, in terms of Maloney & Porcelli, what do they care? This gives the working masses of New York City an extra incentive to dine at their restaurant! Its also a talking point, of course.

If you live over in the Big Apple, give it a go and see how it turns out!
